The activist Narges Mohammadi was sentenced to seven more years, bringing the total she must serve to 17 years, her foundation said.
The rights activist Narges Mohammadi is protesting her continued detention, her family said. She was arrested again in December after being given leave from prison for medical treatment.
Narges Mohammadi and several other Iranian activists were detained last Friday. She has been beaten, requiring emergency medical treatment, and accused of working with Israel, her family said.
The human rights activist was released on furlough from prison last year, but was detained again on Friday, along with several other human rights activists.
Women in Iran, Liberia, Yemen and Myanmar have been recognized for their activism, occasionally while they were in prison and faced serious personal risk.
